How did you take your IUD out by yourself? Did it hurt? I hate this thing lol

It took me so many tries, but once i got the courage it was easy. I took a bath, found the strings tugged and kinda pushed as if i were having a baby, it slid right out. Ive heard taking it out on ypur period is easiest bc your cervix is soft. Good luck :) i hated mine as well.
